Life in Lockdown brief was set during my Art Foundation Year 2020/2021.
Extracts of my final film were featured in "Inside Out" at the Towner Cinema 2021.
My short film shows my own personal reflective & creative journey from the beginning of Covid in March 2002 through until my FMP in June 2021.

This film gives an insight into me as a creator .

I worked from home for nearly all of my Foundation year due to a family member shielding, this film has captured an extraordinary moment in my life.

COLOURFLOW - 2019

The brief to create a short film clip representing the topic "Scenes & Sequences " that was suitable for a diverse public.

Inspiration - colour , dispersion, flow, rainbow, symbolic meanings of colour.

Working through photographic & stop motion experiments my final clip "Colourflow" sequences the flow & dispersion of colours in a "rainbow" colour sequence creating a narrative of the meaning of colours.

Sound was another important element , I chose Mike Oldfield "Weightless" from the album Tubular Bells II. "Weightless" the effect of colour dispersion in water .

Photography & DIGITAL ART

Throughout my studies I have done various photography experiments . Though I am not a passionate photographer I do find that exploring photography & digital art can lead to other ideas or help me visualise notions.

"HOPE" 2021 - This composition of photographs were taken using a Canon E05 800D 18-55mm Lens & pink lighting.

This experimental piece was an important element in visualising the accurate sign language gestures using American sign language, allowing me to assess and plan casting these movements for my Foundation year FMP.

Photography experiment using my own cast resin hand & seedling grown by myself. Inspired by photographer Tim Booth.

Experimental digital art "Digital hands". 2021

Original hand forms created with spray paint over my own hands. This piece was part of my development experiments for my Art Foundation FMP initial inspiration 'The cave of painted hands". A modern day digital form of primitive cave paintings.Colours & textures achieved with various digital filters using an App "Carbon".

Inspired by the anotomical drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci & my photograhic work of a ballet dancer I decided to explore Neon paint , UV light & photography . This was taken with an iPhone on automatic settings. 2019
